Do you celebrate success in your life?
And by that, I don’t mean big successes, like running a marathon, losing a ton of weight, or finishing a Ph.D.
Rather, I mean the small successes that you had to overcome in order to reach the big ones.
Like your early morning runs, or pausing before you eat so you can make a mindful choice, or focusing for a certain amount of time.
Those actions are no less worthy of celebrating than the big wins, and yet, so many people don’t even consider doing so.
But having a tradition of celebrating your wins (big and small) can be very motivating and very worth your while.
Tune in to this week’s Emotionally Equipped podcast to hear more about how I celebrate success in my life and how you may want to start a similar tradition, too.

Shira, this was great. Perfect timing! I went out for dinner with my husband tonight and on our way back I remembered that I hadn’t walked this morning because I had to start work early, so as we got near our house I asked my husband to drop me and I walked the rest of the way home. Just 15 minutes, and I listened to you as I went, so just before I got home I celebrated that I found a way to get my walk in today. I did a happy dance, just like you, and told myself how proud I am of me!
Fantastic, Jo! I LOVE that you were flexible and creative with getting that walk in and I Love the happy dance and showing of pride that you did! Woo-hoo! Thank you for sharing this!
